ET Energy to build 61MW solar project for UiTM in Malaysia

China-based PV solutions provider ET Energy and engineering consultancy Northwest Electric Power Design Institute (NWEPDI) have signed an EPC agreement with Malaysian PV developer UiTM Solar Power for a 61MW solar project in Malaysia.

The project, located at Gambang in Kuantan, Pahang, will have more than 220,000 modules installed across 110 hectares land. It is due to connect to the grid by the end of 2018 and provide power for the equivalent of 80,000 households, ET Energy claimed.

The project was awarded in the first round of Large Scale Solar (LSS) PV projects’ bidding programme.

ET Energy will work with NWEPDI, which is part of China Power Engineering Consulting Group, to provide EPC as well as O&M services.

“We are proud to provide a one-stop service for one of the largest solar power plants in Malaysia,” said Dennis She, president and CEO of ET Energy. “ET Energy has been supporting this project since June last year, and our service and expertise are the key to help us get the trust from the project developer. I am very confident that this project will be completed on time and in compliance with the specifications required by our customer. We are dedicated to bringing more profitable and sustainable solar assets for Malaysia and our global customers.”
